NKJV.Mission StatementThe Cherokee Baptist Association (AL) Carpenters for Christ exists for on-mission Christians to demonstrate their faith through work and service in assisting churches to build new buildings that will further the Kingdom of God and for the salvation of souls.Carpenters for Christ is a non-denominational, nonprofit, volunteer organization composed of Christian men and women who volunteer their time and talents in the construction of facilities used for worship of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Some are called to go, some are called to give, all are called to pray.
June 4th 2011 one hundred thirtytwo Carpenters for Christ began rebuilding a new sanctuary at Grace Chapel Baptist Church near Rainsville, Alabama. Destroyed by the April 27 tornados, the mission was to completely "dry in" a 36 by 72 frame sanctuary over a concrete block foundation including the floor system, twelve foot exterior walls with vinyl siding and metal roofing. Interior projects included all electrical, plumbing, baptistry, stage and the lighting system throughout the building. |
